Problem:
After several
days or weeks, Windows 95 or Windows 98 will start to behave as if it is
slowing down. Also, programs that normally behave themselves may begin
to display abnormal behavior, such as crashes.
Solution:
These symptoms appear when
the computer has not been restarted recently. The problem is intensified
by the Windows 98 "Suspend" command, which puts the computer to
"sleep", enabling it to boot faster. While this is a useful feature,
we at ISDN recommend restarting the computer at least once per day. Some
good advise to go by is to put the computer in Suspend mode during the
day, and at night, do a complete shut down.
