This tutorial applies to Windows 95 users who need to change over their outbound mail server, and are using Microsoft Internet Mail and News 1.0. 1. Start Internet Mail and News by either launching Internet Explorer and clicking on the "Mail/Read Mail" button, or by going to the Windows 95 Start Menu and clicking on "Programs" and then clicking on "Internet Mail". 2. Once the program runs, find the menu across the to labeled "Mail". This will be at the very top of the screen. Once you click on the "Mail" menu, find the item called "Options", and click on it. It should be the very last item on the menu. You should now see something similar to the window in Figure 1 below. 3. Find the tab across the top of this window that is labeled "Server" and click on it. This step is circled in red in Figure 1. 4. Now, find the box that is labeled "Outgoing Mail". If you have "mail.kearney.net" or "mail.unk.net" typed in, delete it. Using all lower case letters with NO spaces, type in smtp.kearney.net. 5. Click on the "Apply" button the bottom right
corner, and then click "OK". Follow these steps, and you're done.
